From a nutritional and health point of view, it can be eaten by almost anyone. As a precautionary measure, it is not recommended for people with certain problems, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type I and type II diabetes, etc. People who follow a special diet may well try it.

Ingredients

Garlic has many good properties

There’s a reason it’s called garlic soup; it is the main ingredient.

  • 10 cloves garlic, peeled.
  • 6 eggs.
  • 1 liter of meat broth.
  • 12 slices of day-old bread.
  • 6 slices serrano ham (150 g).
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (30 ml).
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pepper (30 g).
  • 1 tablespoon salt (15 g).
  • 1 pinch crushed black pepper.

Preparation of Castilian garlic soup

  1. Start by cleaning the garlic and chop them into very fine pieces.
  2. Then put the garlic in water and oil and set it aside. A bowl is fine.
  3. Start heating your extra virgin olive oil in a large pan over low heat.
  4. Add the garlic and the serrano ham and stir.
  5. When the garlic starts to turn golden,  add the bread, and keep stirring. Remove from the heat for a few minutes.
  6. Then add the paprika, and continue to stir in the ingredients.
  7. Pour in the broth. Put it back over low heat and continue to stir.
  8. Let it simmer for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, you can add more bread (optional). Remember to taste it.
  9. Finally, add the eggs while the soup is still simmering and put the lid on. Do this after simmering for about 15 minutes.
  10. Done, serve it hot and enjoy the delicious taste!
